?France will never forget. It will never forget those men who made the supreme sacrifice to liberate our soil, our native land, our continent, from the yoke of Nazi barbarity and its murderous folly. Nor will it ever forget its debt to America, its everlasting friend.? - French President Jacques Chirac
Just a quick history lesson for you:

On D-day germany had only 27 divisions in France and they could only deploy 15 in Normandie. This because of situation on the east front. That year german 6th army was destroyed in Stalingrad and German armored forces was almost destroyed in battle at Kursk. Germany had 140 divisions on the east front at the time wich is 75% of all german forces.

And on D-day, russians were already in the Warzava.

Americans didn't liberated Europe. Russians did. All this bullshit about celebrateing D-day is just american attempt to show the world how "good" they are.
