Well Jake, it was for sale when I moved in and we had an agreement in writing I would rent it month to month for 4 months and then in March we were supposed to go in after he had time to deal with the bank and such and see how to do a land contract, I knew but he didn't so he had to see about it.
Well March rolled around, we asked him then, made several appointments to set it up, and he never would show up and always said he had been out of town because his Church is 5 hours away...... then in September when I finally cornered them and said I needed to get something done, he finally broke I guess and decided I wasn't going to wait forever, I wanted a response and wanted it now, he went back to wherever it was he lived and wrote me a letter saying he couldn't do it on a land contract. 4 or 5 appointments were blown off and I got tired of it, and told him there was over $2k in work that had to be done and either he'd sign the contract and let me pay for it, or he could pay for it....... and this is where this shit came in. I was always nice but firm about my intentions on owning this house and not renting it forever...... and he wants to sell it to me......... but not on the terms we had agreed on.
My god, I never thought a Pastor would screw me over......... I did my homework and everyone told me he was a good dude and straight up........ well they apparently don't know the correct meaning of straight up or he puts on a good act for them, cause he is a fucking prick.
