I don't think you should worry,
there are roughly 300 million people in North America, about 11 of them got sick,
or something like that, which means that the probability of getting anthrax is much smaller than lets say getting hit by a car, so If you went with them last year, this year should be the same:0)
Just my opinion, don't let the paranoia get to you
