The US consumes, or tries to consume, 20-25% of the world's resources - not just some oil. Yet is only contains 5% of the world's population. Duh?

Some need to get into the real world and do conservation before moaning about gas prices. Welcome to "the way it is" in the future!

China and India are developing countries - ie they actually produce something and are nowhere near the pro rata consumption levels of the US.
