You disappoint so much. Obviously YOU don't know how it works. If you are hot, and you know the right people who can fill up a club and make it look good, THE CLUB PAYS YOU!!!!!!!
And I've promoted plenty of parties in NYC when I lived there. Palladium, Limelight, Tunnel, all the big clubs of the day. Promoters get PAID to bring in the good crowd. You just rent spaces and throw parties, it seems.
