i once did a study on how gay films affect their viewer's perception of them. i found out that when the media show bstereotyped roles of gays (like drags ans stuff like that) chances are, the community becomes more hostile to them. but if the audience were shown progressive films whichtackled, say, gay health and civil rights issues, their opinions were altered.

philadelphia (the film) was great.

it opens up a lot of topic which the society once considered taboo.

it also showed us that gays are humans, just like everybody else, yet they suffer degradation probably more than the rest of us privileged macho males do.

im not gay, but i know lots of gays who are in fcat in monogamous relationships.

i salute this move. philadelphia rocks.

btw, i got an A for the study.
