look I'm even kinda embarrassed to talk about it especially on a forum full of 18 year old keyboard warriors.. but anyone who's read them knows whats going on... my girlfriend went on and on about them and she eventually got me to read prisoner of azkaban after draggin me along to the first two movies.. I'm seriously fucking hooked. i read 4 and 5 within 2 weeks of POA. I'm going to go back and read 1 & 2.. sure.. it's no great post-modern pop culture referencing hip bunch of tomes, but thats probably part of the charm and there is just some indefinable quality in the storytelling that hooks you, even if at points the fact that they aren't written for adults sometimes shines through.
shes certainly the Enid Blyton of the late 90's who was someone *I* read as a youngin'.
