When dealing with spammers (of all types) there are three rules you have to remember (from news.admin.net-abuse.email):

1. Spammers lie.
2. If a spammer ever appears to be telling the truth, see rule #1.
3. Spammers are stupid.

When my spam-load gets to get too high, I just go on an anti-spam rampage, and get lots of spammer's accounts turned into smoking craters.

Of course, when the spambags are on such spam-friendly providers like Verio, Broadwing etc, they won't do anything. But they're slowly getting blackholed by various groups to the point where they'll just be large intranets sending spam to each other.

Several of my email addresses are on the 'millions' CD's you see advertised by spammers, and my spam-load isn't usually too bad. Last week was bad, about 15 a day, but that went down fast once I got all old testament on thier arses.
