"One could speculate boredom. We as webmasters strive for the almighty dollar. Perhaps once you have the biggest house, the biggest car, and a fat bank account you have nothing more to strive for (speaking in general everyone is an individual and will act differently) so you start to get into shit your not supposed to."
I have held discussion's with some the industries biggest guys. They have that "Discipline" that is spoke of above, I have no doubts.
One conversation I had with a guy in Hawaii, very succesful, very wealthy and we talked about something called "Killing The Dream".
Indeed it must have something to with it...
Killing the dream is having everything you ever wanted and from there comes the real problems for those that are undiscplined.
In another case I understood another very good piece of information...
The "Wealthy" must be careful who they invest in for not only the good of there livelihood but for the good of things over all.
IE for example Mel Gibsons movie "Passion Of The Christ" where that movie was made solely for the reason that Mel Gibson rekindle his relationship with his own father. The money went into it on a huge budget and all that money also sparked a huge outrage through out the world. The use of power IE money is definatly a definate matter of "Discipline".
