This is the really weird part.
US Customs informed me that my tags were expired a couple of weeks ago. I have been driving with expired tags since February with no problems.
Today I finally got around to taking care of this and the (Gresham) cop pulled me over when I left the DEQ test center and was on my way to the DMV. I showed them my pass certificate and he was still gonna write me a ticket because of my smart ass remark until I dropped the name of a friend of mine who works in the Gresham courthouse.
So...After the dogs got done sniffing around and the cops were finished feeling me up, they let me go with a verbal warning and followed me to the DMV.
THEN...Just to add fuel to the fire......I left DMV without putting the new tags on the vehicle.
And because I know some idiot is gonna tell me I am full of shit. Here is the paperwork with my new tags still attached. I think I will go stick them on now.
