Took me a while to read through all this... There is allways two sides of a story but it indeed sounds like Fletch got fucked over.
Threads like this one shows which people to do biz with and who to avoid. Hopefully Fletch will get many new clients after this thread, I know he is one designer we'd turn to if we needed something done.
