Have you tried going into your Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs.. Then Choose Explorer and a console will pop up with three options .. Choose Repair Explorer..

It will reset it to default as to where it was when it was first installed. If that dosent work try Restore previous Version of Windows and then Reinstall.


Just a guess.. I have spent many hours going through things like this but I have a Restart CD with my COMP that I can just throw in when all hope is lost and instead of reformating just basic restart of original programs. This way I dont loose any data..
