No, really. What I mean is, people working in grain elevators have to wear masks to protect their lungs from the wheat dust, right? Right. But eating wheat products isn't harmful at all unless of course you're allergic to it.
Another example would be coal. Men have died by the thousands over the years from working in coal mines and breathing in coal dust, but people that have owned houses with coal-burning furnaces were never at risk. I think this popcorn thing is similar, because I keep a carton of microwave popcorn packets in my cupboard at all times, but I'm not breathing in popcorn dust, so I'm hardly at risk. (plus I only buy the plain half-salt/no butter kind)
Now, if they find out that there is stricnine in the fake butter flavouring, then people gotta worry.
