When I submitted galleries (2 years ago) and made the design simple with just 2 links it was horrible. But that could be different these days, dunno, didn't submit for a long time!
But why not telling the surfer what they will get ?
1$/month or trial maybe attract them more?
Maybe otherwise they just freeload your content and go to the next.
Damn, when you really think about it you will say, it can be so or so! Some signup fast others you have to show what they will get.................
