My hosting company changed their firewall rules, so I can no longer log in via SSH unless I add my IP address to their router which authorizes my access. I guess there is a new exploit so they wanted to limit SSH access.
So i go to websites like:
http://www.whatismyip.com
and every website I check gives me an IP address (for example):
678.254.194.236
So I gave the hosting company the IP address. I still could not log in via SSH. The tech support guy watches me try to log in and according to him my IP address is completely different (for example):
676.454.195.212
Why are the IP addresses different? Is there a program or anyother way to find out this secondary IP address? I bought a script, and the people are trying to install it. For the past week they have not been able to log into my server via SSH, so they cant install it. So im guessing they too gave the wrong IP address and im trying to find a way to get their correct #.
