Speaking of... make *sure* you have a good retirement program if you live in the U.S., because Social Security frequently pays less than you think, and Medicare does not offer many benefits beyond a portion of your doctor's visits. You may think that you're healthy and have a long time to save for your retirement, but it never hurts to start preparing now. Also, if you have credit cards with a balance it is totally worth it to pay a little extra for the disability coverage... I wish I had done that (but hindsight is 20/20, right?).
