I had the great fortune of bidding and winning a dinner with him (he cooked) at the Boathouse studio on Lake Union in Seattle a few years back. The auction is an annual one for the Pilchuck Glass School. Needless to say it was an experience I'll never forget. Not only is he a great glass maker (although he more supervises these days), he's a great mind and very quick wit. We got the grand tour, a spaghetti dinner, a chance to watch the hot shop in action and personally signed and etched items to take home.

I'm sure that was awesome. You are one lucky Kitty.
