When would the Mustaine era be? He was kicked out before the first album was even recorded and although some songs on Kill Em All and Ride the Lightning (most notably Jump in the Fire and Call of Cthulu) were co-written by Mustaine, they were hardly "stold". Dave was given full credit. Anyhow, I think it's obvious Hetfield will always be the *the* driving force in Metallica (and one hell of a rhythm guitarist).
