Man,it was fucking depressing the other week. I went to Joey Ramone's B-day Bash here in new york and after some great bands (The Supersuckers, The Dickes), they went on. Instantly the place was filled with screaming 15 year olds. OK, whatever, I'm not a big Alkaline Trio fan, but I suppose it's better than Blink 182 and all that. But then after Alkaline Trio finished, all these damn kids left. what came next was a band made up of Tommy and Marky Ramone, Cheetah Chrome, Jimmy Blitz, Walture Lure and Andy Shernoff with Little Steven MCing and these kids left. Maybe I'm just being bitter but the fact that everyone would rather see a tenth generation rip-off then the real thing just depressed the hell outta me.
