Wait it out - my hunch is that she took the 'investment' thing as - I'm not paying for you anymore because I want to breakup. That's what happens when you get her used to your money, you remove it and she thinks there's another woman or a breakup coming along.
If she's mature and there is communication between the two of you, she'll understand that it's not that you don't love her, it's that you are not going to pay for things that aren't necessary. If she wants them, she can work for them.
