OK, I just got done with a telephone conference with several of the higher-ups in CCBill, apparently my posting has gotten quite a bit of attention over there. Let me make it crystal clear that I have no interest in upsetting CCBill, or any of their partners. I also want to thank them for taking the time to discuss their concerns with me.

CCBill made it very clear to me that they do not in any way support Canadian webmasters. That little phrase is a bit tougher to work around than I was lead to believe when initially setting up a CCBill account for one of my Canadian clients.

However, the situation is not hopeless, it just might be a bit more complicated. In the case of the client that I've already made arrangements with, he owns an American company, and the funds from the CCBill account are going to his American company, and not to Canada.

CCBill's main concern is that what I'm doing must follow the spirit of Visa's requirements - That every company processing Visa transactions must be based in the USA, and have principles in the USA (owners).

So, I need to put a bit more work into the structure of each arrangement that's made, if any. These issues may alter the expenses that I've outlined previously, and it may be a no-go in some situations if it turns out that CCBill's requirements cannot be met cost-effectively.

While I let the information sink in that I've just been given from CCBill, I'll be getting in touch with all of you who are interested, and we can discuss the issues involved - Needless to say, I'm going to be picky about who I deal with, so make a good impression. We'll see what happens next.
ok... let me know when you have more... [email protected]
