Was burned over 18% of my body with hot cooking oil. You could see way down into my skin into the muscle and nerves and what not. The burn itself hurt like a mother fucker BUT what was worse was a couple days after the burn the burn when all your nerve endings finally start to grow back. It's nothing but raw flesh and nerve endings and the rehab calls for a whirlpool with iodine or crystal based solutions to kepp infection away and when those nerver endings first grow back and you go in the whirlpool it feels like very bit of the tiniest part of your exposed flesh has a million needles pricking into your skin. Then of course you have to rub off and get rid of all the dead skin when you're done in the whirlpool. you do that every day for weeks and it sucks and is painful every time but the worst id that first two three days after your nerve endings grow back. I nearly blacked out from the pain that first whirlpool after they grew back.

I wouldn't wish burning on my worst enemy and if you ever watch the movie We Were Soldiers and have seen the asian guy who was a burn victim I can honestly say I would probably want one of my fellow soldiers shoot me in the head then have to go through the living hell of a recovery like that.
