We're selling hours of pleasure at $1 a day. How bad does a site or content provider have to be to not deliver an experience good enough to satisfy clients with a deal like that?
You promise a good experience, traffic moves in the direction you want it to, where you repeat the promise and people will sign up and finally you deliver the pleasure and they will retain and not charge back.
Fall down on your end of the deal, fewer move, fewer sign up and won't stay in enough numbers to make it worth while. Or they just charge back.
