Exactly Wizdom - couldn't have said it better myself. There are two sides to every story - and if 12 (or 6) people do something that suprises you - you should read the facts to see why - usually there is an answer.

Freako, if you read the link I posted - you will see their own employee admited it was dangerous and there was actually 700 complaints of actual burns - including 3rd degree burns as they serve their coffee 45 degrees hotter than what coffee is considered safe AND that they KNEW it would cause serious burns in seconds. You should not have to worry about coffee scalding you. They serve it at the drive-thru, what did they think was going to happen?

According to that it takes 5 seconds in order for you to get a serious burn - at 156 degrees only 1 second. Just Imagine 185 degrees. If it had been at a reasonable temperature - most people would have enough time to cool off, but at that temperature - instant scalding is unavoidable.
