If she sayed that, she probably knows that the girls likes you or something like that.
And if she was such a good friends of hers she would never have sayed that. She will get pissed at you if she finds out then ( but do you care about that, you can't have your ex telling you who you can and can't see right? )
Why don't you just go out with her, relax and have some fun. Maybe something happends, maybe not. At least you will have a good time and get to know her a bit better ( I asume that you don't know her that well, because your ex told you not to talk to her). No need to get stressed before hands right?
