Compare and contrast the UK and the USA in regards to their attitudes toward sex, both on an individual level as well as the whole culture..... in 87 words or less
interesting question.

Well, I suppose I will take the whole culture thing first but no doubt it will blend with personal.

The UK and the US are flip sides of the same coin in many ways.

The US - in general - talk a lot but don't do much. This is something that has been backed up by recent surveys on the frequency of sexual relations. The US has a puritan core that not all that many people ever get that far away from. Sex is everywhere in theory but when it comes down to actually dealing with it suddenly people start to become a bit prudish. Of course, this is a general statment. However, look at the whole nipple at the superbowl thing. There is no problem with having people dance around in almost no clothing singing about sex and that is okay for family viewing but an actual nipple slips out and suddenly because it is real it is wrong.

The UK is the opposite way around. It is very reserved on the surface but if you poke around enough you start to see a very naughty underbelly to society. This is a very sexual culture but the idea is that you aren't suppose to let people see it. It is also a culture that has little in common with the actual rules in place for porn. On TV you can just about show anything these days (though, not as much as you can on mainland Europe..holy cow) but yet when it comes to video porn rules - while improving - are very puritanical but just about everyone knows that everyone has seen hardcore porn and very few people care. The 'news'papers here have naked women in them everyday and people don't make that much of a big deal about it. I think what I have noticed is that people here are able to seperate the naughty from the smutty and react accordingly.

However, when something is considered bad - ie pedophillia - the country suddenly develops a mob mentality that can be difficult to control.

Now, how this actually translates in my personal experience to the bedroom:

It is a bit unfair because I have been with more British guys than Americans (and I have been with a Kiwi too) but I have found that the British guys I have been with are not afraid to let themselves go in the bedroom and ask for the kinkier things. They will almost have a twinkle in their eye as they ask because they know it is 'naughty' or 'rude' and that is part of the thrill. Things like anal sex, with the guys I have been with, have been much less of a big deal.

I am sure it is partially the type of guys I go for anyway but there has been less of an air of machoness in the act and more of an attempt to make the woman the center of attention.

Now, it you like the ultra macho type - and a lot of gals do - then maybe that isn't a bonus
