Yes it's true that abs have a lot of things to do with genetic.

I'm a bodybuilder myself and I can tell you that abs are mostly made in the kitchen you know why..

And if you want killer abs.. add weight on your abs exercices. It's not with sit ups that you will make nice abs.. because first if your bodyfat is more than 10-11% you could make 100 000 situps and it wouldn't change a freaking thing because you gotta lose the fat on your stomach first.

And to have a sixpack you gotta have motivation at your top and be serious.
No Beer (if you train and you drink you're just wasting your time) , no junk shit ...

Bodyfat drop below 10% + Very good nutrition + those exercices at least 3 times/week.. it should be a question of months before you have a nice sixpack.
And don't forget to do cardio a bit too outside or inside gym.
