Your diet has alot to do with it, you can work out everyday, do 60 min of cardio and 1000 crunches, but if your diet is shit then all that you have been doing won't mean a thing.
So, watch what you eat, make sure to do cardio to burn the fat and then work the muscle with a variety of crunches(you gotta work all the muscles for a six pack, not just the basic sit up)
