It is really not a matter of IF rather WHEN

Prior to the Sept 11 tragedy, for crossing the border where we are, there was what was called a 'Pace' lane for border travellers, which they would apply for a special identification sticker, on their vehicle

This allowed them to bypass the line ups and move quickly through the border crossings

I am guessing that an ID such as this would be used at airports and border crossings,

if you have it... you go through quickly, if you don't then you line up with the rest of the people, where now it is taking some times 4 to 6 hours to cross the border

I can't see it being a big problem for most people unless you are a recreational drug user... then perhaps you wouldn't like it, right now I hazard a guess that not a lot of drugs are making it across the borders right now anyways
