Vietnam was not a necessity. And we lost it because there was no public support.
When we invaded Iraq this last time they lobbed some missiles at us that had a range of over 90 miles. It was considered a WMD (because it was a delivery system for WMD) and a violation of the UN treaty Iraq had signed. So not only did they have Sarin Nerve Agent, they also had the means to deliver them.
If I recall correctly they've also found parts and plants to build a nuclear bomb burried in someone's back yard.
All if this doesn't really matter. Iraq is the size of California; It would be easy to hide such things.
Most of you on this board forgets what Iraq did to Kuwait. They invaded Kuwait, our ally, without a reason. They raped Kuwait, and killed it's citizens. While we kicked their asses back into Iraq they set fire to all of Kuwait's oil wells. Then for years they shot at our planes enforcing the United Nations treaty. Pay attention to that; Iraq shot million dollar missiles at our multi million dollar planes. That in itself is grounds for us to invade Iraq.
