Given a choice between Las Vegas and San Diego, I like Las Vegas, If I left Chicago I would have to live in another 24 hour a day city. But I understand the school district is having one helluva time trying to attract teachers, so that might be a negative if you have kids.
I really like San Diego, I was detailed there for nearly six months back in 1999, I would love it even more if it wasn't in California!
Also, they roll up the sidewalks in San Diego at like 9:00pm
I'm planning to move to Nevada, not necessarly Las Vegas, but Boulder looks interesting, and how can you go wrong with any city with a municipal gun range.
