I would NEVER pay to see Metallica. I think I paid $30 to see Godsmack a couple years ago, but I only went because they were touring with the Deftones, then the day before the show, Chino got sick.
I saw someone mentioned 311, they always put on a kick ass show and play for a couple hours. I saw them at UCSB 2 years ago and they fucking rocked. Probably one of the best live bands I've ever seen, tons of energy. Met Pnut and Chad there too, great guys.
