You may attempt to justify your oversight all you like. In fact, the length of your reply respresents your attempt at doing so.
Impression of the reader you say, and in this case that reader was you. And you got the wrong impression. So who's dense?
To humour you, I was actually seeking feedback on 2 subjects derived from a thread title, not a sentance as you stated in your last reply.
If indeed you did say, "Who gives a fuck about Manchester United or Rugby?"
I would reply, "IMO Manchester United are the best football team in the world. And for Rugby, I like the game, and consider it a real sport where the competitors have no need to protect themselves with padding"
You see? Its quite easy to break down the question and address each point in turn.
