I just think they put too many eggs into their mainstream operation basket. They did a fantastic job at being an adult program, that they wanted to go mainstream. It reminds me of the mafia, in the movie the Godfather. They are spectacular at doing one thing, organized crime, but no matter how much they wished to be "legitimate" or how much they invested into it, they could never be, because you should stick with what you are great at, and stop trying to jump into new domains. That was ARS' biggest problem I think. They wanted to be the next Commission Junction, thought they had the resources and cashflow to keep it afloat, and didn't realize, sure, it's just one big affiliate management program, but the mainstream world is A LOT different from the adult one. I think if they start focusing more on adult, the industry that made them what they are, then they will be fine. The only ship that looks like it's sinking is the mainstream one.
