I think we are talking about the same thing here. You are talking about the end result... the profit. Using your example suppose with your gallery you were able to get 10,000 visitors to click on a sponsor link and you grossed $335. then your outgoing traffic was worth a little over 3 cents each. But what if there was a sponsor that with the same traffic converted in such away that you made 10cents per outgoing visitor, then you would gross $1,000 then ... profit = $865
All I was saying before is that $$ per visitor is a better way to calculate conversions than ratios.
