The war is over and we are just trying to get things to a point where people over there can run their own country in freedom and not ruled by a ruthless, sadistic dictator.

What would Kerry have done had 9/11 taken place on his watch? Flip-flop around like a fish out of water? Would he have had the balls to stand up and take it back to the enemy?

Being over there right now is the right thing to do (in my opinion and remember I am allowed to have my own opinion because of the people that run this country), however, I believe Bush would have had more support if he had just come out and said we are paying them back for what they did or the people they support did.

It would just be so easy to pull everyone out and say "here you go, it's all yours. Figure out what to do next by yourselves."

The US has always stayed in the country they fought with to help rebuild it for the people that had no control over what their government was doing. Japan being a good example.
You are right about one thing. We can't just pull out. My personal opinion is to throw Iraq on the mercy of the UN. John Kerry should say, "I'm sorry Iraq and the world. America was duped by an unscrupulous president and mislead into this war. we beg your forgiveness and ask you to forgive us this transgression in light of our monumental contributions to humankind. We ask you, the world, the UN, God to help us fix what we've broken in Iraq and in America. "

that's how it should be done
