If quality and low price is what youwant then look to Panasonic HDCam pro Line .. The 900 goes for 65 000 I think .. You can also look at the 415 or 715 DVCPRO .. Bopth will give you over 850 of rez at 50 mhz

Next is Sony .. the BVW 590 is a great DVcam I love it . Also the D35 or new D50 will give you the same rez ...

If you want to stay with a small format camera JVC has a great HDcam when used in Manual only settings or Sony's new PD170 minidvcam, can also shoot in DVcam on Minidv format tape ..


All depending what kind of suport equiipment is needed or you already have will determine what to use ..

If I was asked to do a high end HD prodcution but keep the cost down I would go with PAnasonic HDpro
