But his did not happen in a battlezone. This happened in a secure controlled enviroment where only our side have weapons. And from what I understand most of the people being held were not captured after a battle. They were there under suspicion, and/or turned in by other iraqis for reward money, meaning a lot may be innocent victims of profiteers trying to make a buck, or just had an unfriendly relationship with the person who pointed the finger. But if you're an officer trying to sort this shit out and get the country under control, you're going to err on the side of caution and keep everyone confined. During this time, all iraqi citizens should be considered innocent until proven guilty; same rules we expect here.
PS. "avangence" is not a word.
