All I did was sketch this lettering out.

Took my Sony 3.2 Mega Pixel camara. Snapped a pic of the illustration.

In PhotoShop I took the Polygonal Laso tool and selected the outlines. I joined the outlines hold the shift key down or the alt Key down to deslect.

Copy the selection area.
Paste.
Load selection.
New Layer.
Gradient.

Then followed up with some background effects

Didnt think a Digital camara made a decent scanner but it does.
Nice... It seems that you know your way around PS....
