My grandparents were from Ireland, one catholic the other protestant. Being in a mixed marriage, were forced to leave, pretty much. Leave or be outcast.
Nothing has changed there in 100 years, the weapons they use are better, and the violence gets more publicity (sometimes fueling the violence, no doubt)
Love thy neighbour, unless they are the opposing religion... then kill the bastards
Make no mistake the churches of Ireland are a most unfortunate starting place to fuel the hatred
There are also very few civilized people there, the smart ones have mostly left
