For flashfreak- notice the amount of coat on the legs, muzzle
and spine length.
The AKC's pic, flashfreak's pic, and sweetcuties's pic are three
entirely different dogs.

you forgot smth: there are 2 standards : american cocker spaniel and english cocker spaniel.
my wife's (actually my wife mother's now) is english cocker spaniel.
