In the beginning, I relied mostly on the newspaper ads. I bought a cordless phone with a headset (has been my godsend for a loooong time) and I'd put an ad in the paper, and for a full week I'd get TONS of calls. Out of 100 chicks calling, I'd weed out about 60 of them over the phone, and out of the other 40 only about 15 would actually show up for an interview, and out of 15 I'd likely only work with 2-4 max. Nature of the beast I'm afraid.

But, after running 5 or 6 ads in my first year, I had enough girls that would refer other girls so that I usually have more than I can photograph. And yes, I do meet some girls in the bars. Strip clubs? No, I don't go to them. My content is mostly regular average girl-next-door type of stuff, so I basically go by my own instincts. If I see a girl working behind the counter at Subway that looks hot in her little uniform, then I shoot her a card and talk to her for a few minutes to see if she gets excited about the opportunity. If not, I offer to take back the card or ask her if she knows anyone that she could pass it on to that WOULD be into it. The wheels are always turning here

Turn on your personality and charm, get them to laugh a bit, find out if they've ever thought about modelling ever, and tell them that you need girls like them and you're set. Most women love to feel wanted/needed, and in this case it's genuinely true. I treat my models very well, I pay them good, and they and their wishes are respected at ALL times.

Keep everything legit, pay what you promise, and treat the girls like gold and you'll do just fine.
