yes the alarm remote's battery is good, i tried both clickers that came with it. i stopped playing with it because its 11pm and i got some bitchy neighbors..
any car security buffs around? i'd appreciate any help

I am quite well versed with DEI alarms, if you can asnwer a few questions for me .. I might be able to help you.
What kind of strange noises ?? extra chirps ??? or weak sounding siren?? please describe.
You need to count the number of flashes when the alarm is set. If it is a constant flash with no pauses or if it has a pause . If it has a pause .. the manual will tell you if there is a sensor triggered.
If all else fails....Try putting the alarm in valet mode..( drivers door open turn the Key to the on position ..hit keys 1 - 2 -1 Then you can take it to the guys that instelled it and see what's wrong
