I've been playing guitar casually for 17 years. I highly recommend studying Fernando Sor if you are interested in learning classical guitar and enjoying the music. For me, just practicing his etudes is a satisfying, moving experience.
There are a few good books to help you learn classical guitar. If i had my own books at hand I would list them here. Search Amazon for classical guitar - they have a couple of decent instruction books.
