A nice new home (average... not too small, but not big either) in a gated community in Wailuku here (the business hub) runs around $400k to $500k roughly I think. Nowhere near the beach.
Down here in Wailea, they fluctuate wildly. In my community, they run between $800k and $1.5 mil. Across the street ON the beach, they run $10mil on up.
