Gas: $2.43 for regular 87 octane. (and rising)
Rent: Not sure, I own. But you could probably get a crappy 1 bedroom 750 sq ft apartment for around $1100 a month.
Food: Depends. Some things are normal, some things are outrageous.
Dairy is insane. Meat is pretty expensive. Beer is about normal, maybe a little higher. I would say our average run for groceries to Costco & Safeway (need both) per week hits around $400 - $500 depending on what we buy.
