Since I know you are a female, if you are interested in shopping, you should check out Main Street in Ocean Park/Venice. It is close to the Venice Boardwalk. You will find some very unique shops, but high prices. Same goes for Montana Avenue in Santa Monica. Nice shops, but pricey. Then you have Hollywood Boulevard and Melrose Avenue where you can find some good buys. Rodeo Drive is a must because it is eye candy. Beautiful clothes and beautiful people!

The Graveline Tour takes you to places on the West Side of LA where famous celebrities died. Basically it is the Hollywood Tour with a few extras thrown in. They use large hearses to drive you around. The good thing about a tour is that you can ask questions. You can discover places where you want to go once the tour ends. Whenever I visit a new place, if I am not met by a friend who can guide me, then I make sure to arrange for a tour. I have been very happy with the results 95% of the time.
