Most of the big file sharing companies out there have the same users sharing the same file. It's from a company called fastrack.
Something straight off their company page
"By using the FastTrack peer-to-peer products you achieve the fastest time-to-market in the next Internet happening - Peer-to-Peer. The FastTrack P2P Stack has been proven as the industry leader in distributed self-organizing peer-to-peer network technologies. Already now Grokster, MusicCity and KaZaA (The latter two are on top 10 on C|Net's Download.com) are licensing our technology. FastTrack P2P Stack is on it's way to become THE industry standard.
By using FastTrack peer-to-peer products you instantaneously tap in to a use base of over two million users. Each service provider using out technology can opt for interoperability with other networks using the same technology. The number of online users are between 250 000 and 450 000. The distributed network means that you can save costs for servers, which means that your server costs will not kill you as you scale up in the millions of users."
It's all good aslong as they dont install those gay adware crap.
