There are ways, but they are EXORBITANTLY expensive. Horses can't stay laying down for long periods, they are flight animals and their size and weight would crush theirs lungs if they were down long enough to heal a broken leg. They need special cranes and stalls with sling harnesses, they need a therapudic swimming pool so their muscles don't atrophy from suspension, etc. The cost is VERY prohibitive for the average horse owner. The animals I worked with were worth $250,000 or more, and even when they broke a leg, it wasn't always worth the cost of treatment/therapy. It's s very long, very expensive road with a lot of suffering on the part of the animal.
