Venice boardwalk and Santa Monica Pier aren't bad, Rodeo Drive for shopping (or hahahahahaha shopping), if it's warm and you want to spend the afternoon doing nothing, go to Manhattan Beach and chill out, and there are a lot of great restaurants out here. You could go to downtown LA on Saturday morning to the fashion district for shopping... grab a meal at one of the Ivy restaurants (hollywood or santa monica) but be prepared to pay 26 bucks for a hamburger... the Getty Museum...
